"Severe" injuries (£12,250 - £30,750) are those that result in significant disability. "Serious" injury (£8,100 - £12,250) causes pain and weakness of grip while "moderate" injury (£5,000- £8,100) results in discomfort with symptoms persisiting for about two years. "Minor" injury (£2,750 - £5,000) is associated with soft tissue damage which causes considerable pain but results in almost complete recovery.
