Arms

Compensation for arm injuries relate to the degree of loss of use and vary greatly as follows.

Amputation:

The value of this award depends on whether both arms are lost (£154,000 - £191,500) or just one arm.  If one arm is lost, the award varies depending on whether amputation occurs at the shoulder (not less than £87,500), above the elbow (£70,000 - £83,500) or below the elbow (£61,500 - £70,000).

Other Arm Injuries:

These types of injuries vary from "Severe" (£61,500 - £83,500) which means that although the arm was not amputated, the loss of use is almost as bad as if it had been, to "Simple Fractures" (£4,250 - £12,250).
