Personal Injury Claims - How they work

If we think you would be entitled to personal injury compensation, we then set up an initial meeting. This can be at your home or in hospital, or at our offices. This meeting is FREE and there is no obligation on your part to proceed if you are not satisfied with anything at the end of the meeting. During this meeting we will explain in detail how the personal injury claim works and go through the circumstances of the accident and what has happened to you since you suffered your injuries.

If we think you would be entitled to personal injury compensation, we then proceed with the claim against the party who caused your accident. They can be an individual, organisation, company, authority or another kind of group. The vast majority of personal injury claims are handled by the insurers of the party that caused your accident. If your personal injury claim is successful, you would be entitled to compensation for the injuries you have suffered, and the expenses you have incurred as a result of your accident, such as lost earnings, medical expenses, travel costs etc.

Your accident must have happened within the last three years, unless you are under 18, in which case you have 3 years from your 18th birthday to issue a personal injury claim in court.
